SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE

Superintendent of Police Rank Insignia - Chicago Police Department

Worn by the Superintendent of Police each star will be approximately 1" in height to be worn on the epaulets of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). Stars measuring approximately 5/8" in height will be worn on the collar of the shirt. A matching pair of four stars will be worn on both the left and right epaulets and collar.

FIRST DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT

First Deputy Superintendent Rank Insignia - Chicago Police Department

Worn by a First Deputy Superintendent of Police each star will be approximately 1" in height to be worn on the epaulets of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). Stars measuring approximately 5/8" in height will be worn on the collar of the shirt. A matching pair of three stars will be worn on both the left and right epaulets and collar.

Worn by a Chief of Police each star will be approximately 1" in height to be worn on the epaulets of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). DEPUTY CHIEF

Deputy Chief Rank Insignia - Chicago Police Department

Worn by a Deputy Chief the star will be approximately 1" in diameter to be worn on the epaulets of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). A star measuring approximately 5/8" will be worn on the collar of the shirt. A matching star will be worn on both the left and right epaulets and collar.

Worn by a Commander, Coordinator, and Director the silver tone oak leaf will be approximately 1" in diameter to be worn on the epaulets of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). A silver tone oak leaf measuring approximately 3/4" will be worn on the collar of the shirt. A matching silver tone oak leaf will be worn on both the left and right epaulets and collar.

CAPTAIN

Worn by a Captain each silver tone double bar will be approximately 1" in height and 1 1/8" in width to be worn on the epaulets of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). A oak leaf measuring approximately 3/4" in height and 3/4" in width shall be worn on the collar of the shirt. A matching double bar will be worn on both the left and right epaulets and collar.

Worn by Sergeant's a stacked set of three chevrons will be approximately 3 1/4" in height at the vertical center line and 1 1/2" in width to be worn on the sleeves of the outer garment (e.g. Blouse, Refer, etc.). A stacked set of three chevrons measuring approximately 2 5/8" in height at the vertical center line and 1 7/18" in width shall be worn on the sleeve of the shirt. A matching stacked set of three chevrons will be worn on both the left and right sleeves.

A matching single chevron stacked above a single rocker with the letters "FTO" positioned in the center will be worn on both the left and right sleeves.
